It's been a long, long while. Life has been very strange.

nothing was, nothing will be, everything is.

Did I ever mention how eternally grateful I am to whoever it was that decided that Siddhartha should be on the list of EL A1 texts? I suspect it might be Connor; it seems like his kind of thing. Though I admittedly am not unbiased.

The house is so empty, I can't get used to it. I realised today that what I've been doing the past few weeks is all an excuse to avoid it. How pathetic.

Meliorism: the key tenet of all Pollyannas
Autotelism: Art for art's sake. Oscar Wilde ftw!

Don't quite get the ending bit of This Side of Paradise. Fitzgerald's poetic genius is nonetheless undeniable. Possibly it's because of that that I don't understand him. Haha. But also probably because I know nuts about the jazz age.

Still waging war on Chopin's Ocean etude. A truce was declared during the Prelims, and it seems like a veritable tsunami has broken out since then. The mess is good in a way though: I'm hearing melodies I missed earlier. But -- one month?!I feel my resistance to coffee crumbling.

so much for ACSI being the only IB school to win a business award; I know this is late reporting but GIIS won some Asia-Pacific business award which totally owns our SQA cos hello, regional and all. haha.

and it is so typical that when you ask an Econs teacher some Econs question, he'll reply with "Yes, cetaris paribus". Lol.

Oh, good news, I finally learned how to integrate on my GDC ytd!! XD Just in time for the Maths paper this Thurs (do not mock my slowness) now I just need to figure out how to differentiate on it. I mean, I can differentiate manually. But I'd just like to know how to calculate it in case I run out of time or smth (very likely given how much Maths I've actually done since April/May this year, bleh)

plus, I still don't get micro Econs. hellllllp.
